*** ATTENTION - we are sold out of the middle stocking (Red Santa with date) If you are interested in one of the stockings you see, please write us & ask if we can make a "Jack-in-the-box Santa" or "Santa Carrying a Christmas Tree" stocking. I will try to add more Classic/Heirloom Stockings as I find them. A couple of words to the wise...Christmas Stocking Season starts October 1. I can't say I can't do it after that date, but it's a lot more likely if you get in touch with me before then. It can't hurt to ask. Some stockings take longer/are more difficult, and I don't always know until I start. For example, the Red stocking with Santa requires 50% more stitches, and that is why it's more expensive.

The stocking needs to use the same color of yarn that I already have. I can't run around town looking for special tones. PICTURE - They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I will not accept a special order without a picture of your existing stocking (if there is one) that you want to match/reproduce. It's best to take the picture in a well-lit place, preferably next to a tape measure or yardstick. I would need a picture BOTH the front and the back. If you have a pattern from the previous knitter, that would be helpful. LENGTH - The standard length of most stockings is 22 inches. Stockings 25 inches or more will incur a $20 extra length fee. It's not just the material, but the time it takes to knit the extra rows. Since these are handmade items, there will always be slight variations in tone, length and appearance.
